Diovan dosage depends on your age, clinical condition and effectiveness or tolerance of medicine and can be taken with or without regard to meals.

Dosage per day

The usual recommended dosage of Diovan is 80mg to 160mg on a daily basis (320mg dosage is also prescribed in some cases) in adults and 1.3 mg per kg per day in children.

Diovan Storage

Diovan is usually stored at room temperature (15 – 30 degree Celsius) away from heat, moisture and direct light. Diovan should not be kept in bathroom and always keep it away from children and pets.

Diovan Side effects

Common side effects of Diovan include

• Headache and dizziness or drowsiness,
• Pain in stomach or back and insomnia,
• Mild itching diarrhea and constipation,
• Cold symptoms such as runny or stuffy nose, sore throat or cough.

Serious side effects of Diovan include

• Chest pain and fast or pounding heartbeats,
• Muscle pain or tenderness,
• Numbness or tingling sensation,
• Vision problems and dark urine.

Diovan Precautions to be followed

Is strictly not recommended during pregnancy.

Do not take Diovan if you are pregnant, breast feeding or undergoing dialysis.

Do not take this drug if you suffer from various allergies.

Avoid taking Diovan if you are allergic to any of its active or inactive components or any other angiotensin II receptor blockers.

Diovan is usually not recommended from heart ailments, liver or kidney problems, diabetes and gall bladder complications such as gall stones.
